Motorn på bilden nedan, en 340hk Hammerhead diesel v8a, la vi i i en Malibou ResponseLXi. Vi jämförde med hur båten gick med bensin v8an som satt i från början och hur den gick med MarineDiesel v8an. MarineDiesel installs an MD300 Hammerhead Supercharged V8 "Drop In" marine diesel engines for Malibu Boats. This particular installation was done with a 1:2 down angle gear and a 23P propeller. As shown in the pictures the fuel flow was verified with standard Flo-Scan measuring equipment and performance was checked using radar. The Response LXi outperformed the standard 340Hp 350 Cu In small V8 gas marine engine in both acceleration and top speed, all while offering approximately 40% better fuel economy.
